heilige und profane liebe ( auch venus und die braut genannt ) ist ein ölgemälde von tizian , herumgemalt 1513–1514 . das gemälde wurde von niccolò aurelio in auftrag gegeben , ein sekretär des venezianischen zehnerrates ( so identifiziert, weil sein wappen auf dem sarkophag oder brunnen in der mitte des bildes erscheint ) um seine ehe mit einer jungen witwe zu feiern , laura bagarotto . Es zeigt angeblich die braut in weiß gekleidet , neben cupid sitzen und von venus persönlich unterstützt werden .
